New from the Trillitask team

Ask your money anything.

Upload a bank statement and Trillitask Budget explains it back to you in plain English: what comes in, what goes out, what’s due next, and how much you can safely spend before payday. Then ask it anything, the way you’d ask a friend who’s good with money.

What you can ask

Talk to it like a friend who’s good with money.

You don’t need to know any budgeting terms. Ask a normal question and get a straight answer that uses your real numbers.

Can I afford a $300 weekend trip? What’s due before payday? Why am I always broke by the 20th? How much did I spend on takeout last month? When will my Visa be paid off? Can I afford a $40 gym membership? How much can I save this paycheck?
Which subscriptions am I paying for? Will rent clear on the 1st? What if I pay $50 more on my car loan? Where did my money go this month? How much is in my vacation fund? Should I pay off Affirm or my card first? Did my paycheck land?
What’s due before payday?
Five bills, $806 in all. The big ones are your car payment ($389) and electric ($164.51). They’re all covered, and you’ll still have $342 to spend until Friday.
Which subscriptions am I paying for?
Six, about $78 a month: Streamflix, two music apps, cloud storage, a meal kit, and the gym. You’re paying for two music apps. Want a reminder to cancel one?
How much can I save this paycheck?
About $275. That still leaves $100 in checking on your tightest day before the next payday. Want me to add it to your Vacation fund?
Plain English

It reads the gibberish on your statement so you don’t have to.

Bank statements are written for computers. Trillitask Budget figures out what each line actually is, spots the paychecks and bills that repeat, and sums it all up in a couple of sentences.

Safe to spend

One number you can actually use.

Trillitask Budget looks at what’s in checking, every bill due before your next paycheck, and a small cushion you pick. What’s left is yours to spend, and it updates as you go.

  • Breaks it down per day, so $342 over five days reads as about $68 a day
  • Counts bills that haven’t come out yet, so nothing sneaks up on you
  • Your cushion keeps checking from ever hitting zero

Money calendar

See the whole month before it happens.

Every paycheck and bill goes on a calendar, along with what your balance should be each day. If money is going to get tight, you’ll see it weeks ahead instead of the morning of.

  • Past days show what actually happened
  • Future days show what’s expected and where your balance lands

Payday check-ins

On payday, it tells you what to save.

When your paycheck is due, it checks in. Confirm the amount and it works out how much you can set aside without coming up short before the next one. Got paid more than usual? It asks where the extra should go.

  • Asks about bills that aren’t on autopay, too: “Paid?”
  • Works for weekly, every-other-week, twice-a-month, or monthly pay
It’s payday

Your paycheck from Acme is expected today. Is it $1,840?

YesIt was different
It was $1,950.
Nice, that’s $110 extra

Where should it go? Either way, you can set aside $275 today and still have $100 on your tightest day.

Debt payoff

Watch your debt actually shrink.

Add your cards, loans, and buy-now-pay-later plans like Affirm and Klarna. See when each one will be paid off, how much interest you’ll pay, and what an extra $50 a month would change.

  • Highest interest first saves the most money
  • Smallest balance first gets you quick wins
  • Free up cash first lowers your monthly bills fastest

FAQ

Good questions.

Still wondering about something? Email [email protected] and a real person will get back to you.

Do I have to link my bank account?
No, and we’ll never ask for your bank password. You download a statement file from your bank’s website (CSV, OFX, or QFX) and upload it. Trillitask Budget can read your history, but it can’t touch your accounts or move money.
Which banks work?
Any US bank or credit card that lets you download your transactions, including Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Capital One, Citi, Discover, American Express, and most credit unions. If your bank offers a CSV, OFX, or QFX download, it works.
What can I ask it?
Anything about your own money. “Can I afford this?” “What’s due before payday?” “How much did I spend on takeout last month?” “When will my card be paid off?” It answers with your real numbers in plain English, and it can make changes for you, like adding a bill or starting a savings fund.
Is this financial advice?
No. Trillitask Budget helps you understand and plan your own money. It isn’t a licensed financial advisor, and it doesn’t give investment, tax, or legal advice.
Will it nag me about every purchase?
No. You set one weekly amount for everyday spending and it plans around that. It speaks up about things that matter, like a bill due tomorrow or a low balance coming up.
Can my partner and I share a budget?
Yes. Share your budget or start a new household one, then invite them by email. You each keep a personal budget too, and you can switch between them in one tap.
Is there an app?
Yes, for Android. It also works in any browser, and on iPhone you can open trillibudget.com in Safari and add it to your Home Screen.
Do I need a Trillitask account?
Yes, but it’s the same free account. Sign in once and you can use both Trillitask Budget and the Trillitask email assistant.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Settings has a “Start fresh” button that erases a budget’s data. Deleting your Trillitask account erases everything, including your budgets.
How much does it cost?
There’s a free plan. Paid plans start at $14.99 a month and give you more questions, uploads, and shared budgets. One subscription covers both Trillitask Budget and the Trillitask email assistant.
